NFL Star Sauce Gardner Offers Rare Insight Into Ice Spice Relationship
NFL star Sauce Gardner is shedding insight into his relationship with Ice Spice.
When asked by TMZ “what’s going on” with the pair, Gardner, 24, played coy and replied, “We cool.”
“I ain’t trying to speak too much on it,” Gardner told the outlet in an interview published on Saturday, June 28. “We cool, though. … We having a good time.”
The New York Jets player noted that he and Ice Spice, 25, are “two young individuals,” who have multiple things in common.

“She from New York, I play in New York,” he explained. “She real talented when it come to what she do. Same thing for me. Two people that get hated on, that’s really good at what we do.”
Gardner added that he and Ice Spice met while appearing on LeBron James’ show “The Shop” alongside Travis Scott, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Julio Rodriguez. (The episode aired in April 2024.)
“That’s definitely when we first seen each other in person,” he said. “But I don’t know if we knew each other before that.”
Gardner’s comments about their relationship come nearly two months after the twosome went Instagram official. In an April Instagram carousel, Ice Spice shared a mirror selfie of her and Gardner in a bathroom. In the image, Ice Spice rocked a pink hoodie and pants while Gardner stood behind her in a white sweatsuit and smiled. The image appears to have been taken down since. Earlier that month, Gardner uploaded a photo of the pair standing next to a Rolls-Royce. He later deleted the post.

After the event, Ice Spice appeared on a July 2024 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon — where host Jimmy Fallon played a video of Swift seemingly explaining something to the rapper.
When Fallon, 50, asked whether Ice Spice was “confused,” she admitted, “I was incredibly confused. I’m still confused.” As for her football knowledge, Ice Spice explained, “That day I had a sense of knowing, but it just went away.” Ice Spice confessed that she would “just wait until Taylor cheered” before joining in on the fun.
